Everything You Need to Know About Getting Your MRCOOL System Delivered

At MRCOOL DIY Direct, we’re committed to making your shopping experience as easy and transparent as possible. Below you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our shipping and delivery process—from freight shipments to tracking your order.


🚚 How long does it take to ship my order?

We typically process orders within 1–3 business days. Shipping times vary depending on the product and destination. Most MRCOOL systems ship via freight carriers and typically arrive within 3–7 business days after processing.

📦 What’s the difference between parcel and LTL freight shipping?

At MRCOOL DIY Direct, we ship products using two main methods:

1. Parcel Shipping (UPS / FedEx / USPS)

Smaller items such as replacement parts, accessories, and control wires are shipped via parcel carriers like UPS, FedEx, or USPS. These shipments receive frequent tracking updates and are scanned at nearly every stop along the way, giving you real-time visibility on your delivery status.

2. Freight Shipping (LTL - Less Than Truckload)

Larger items—including full HVAC systems, condensers, air handlers, and line sets—are shipped via LTL freight carriers such as R&L Carriers, Estes, or TForce. These shipments are palletized and travel through multiple distribution terminals.

Important Tracking Info:

LTL freight tracking works differently than parcel tracking. Freight is typically only scanned at major terminals or when switching trailers, which means:

🔹 Tracking updates are less frequent

🔹 It's normal for tracking to show as “unavailable” or delayed

🔹 It may take 24–36 hours for the carrier’s tracking system to update after pickup

➡️ Don’t panic if your LTL tracking doesn’t update right away—this is completely normal. Once the shipment is en route and reaches the next terminal, you’ll see updated scans appear on the carrier’s tracking page.


📦 How will my MRCOOL system be shipped?

Most HVAC systems and line sets are shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight due to their size and weight. Smaller items like accessories or replacement parts may ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.


📋 What should I do when my freight shipment arrives?

Please inspect all items before signing the delivery receipt. Check for:

🔹 Exterior damage to boxes or shrink wrap

🔹 Punctures, dents, or signs of mishandling

🔹 Missing items or pallets

If you see any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and take photos before signing. Then contact us immediately to begin a claim.


🔍 Can I track my order?

Yes! As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. Freight shipments will include a PRO number and the carrier name so you can track your delivery and schedule drop-off if needed.


🧾 Do I need to be home for delivery?

Yes, a signature is required for freight deliveries. The freight carrier will typically call you to schedule a delivery appointment. Please ensure someone 18 or older is available to receive the shipment.


💥 What if something is missing or damaged?

Don't worry—we're here to help. If any item arrives damaged or is missing, contact us right away with:

🔹 Description of the issue

📍 Do you ship to all 48 states?

Yes! We ship MRCOOL products to all 48 contiguous U.S. states. If you're in Alaska, Hawaii, or need international shipping, please contact us for a custom quote.


💲 How much is shipping?

Shipping is free on most MRCOOL systems and bundled kits. Shipping costs may apply for parts, accessories, and oversized custom orders. Final shipping fees (if applicable) are calculated at checkout.
