The MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation 36,000 BTU Single-Zone Mini Split System delivers powerful, energy-efficient heating and cooling for large spaces—all with true DIY installation. Designed for areas approximately 1,000–1,500 square feet, this system is ideal for homes, workshops, garages, additions, and commercial spaces where dependable comfort and simple installation matter.
Unlike traditional mini split systems, the MRCOOL DIY® platform eliminates the need for professional HVAC installation. The system uses MRCOOL® DIY® Quick Connect Pre-Charged Line Sets, allowing homeowners to install without vacuum pumps, refrigerant handling, or specialized tools. Everything is factory sealed, pre-charged, and designed for straightforward connection.
Built around advanced inverter technology, the 5th Gen DIY system maintains consistent indoor temperatures while reducing energy consumption. It uses R-454B refrigerant, a lower-GWP alternative to R-410A that meets modern efficiency and environmental standards without sacrificing performance.
