This bearing mounting bracket is the plastic support bracket that holds the replaceable bearing/bushing on the opposite side of the crossflow blower motor in MRCOOL and many other brands of ductless wall mounted air handlers.
While these brackets don’t typically fail on their own, the plastic retaining tabs can become brittle over time, especially during motor or bearing service. If a tab breaks, the bearing will not stay properly seated, which can lead to noise, vibration, or premature blower wear.
Replacing the bracket restores proper bearing alignment and helps ensure smooth, quiet fan operation.
