MRCOOL DIY Couplers and Control Wire Kit (DIYCOUPLER-1412K75C) for Line Set Extension
This kit includes the Couplers and Control Wire necessary for extending your MRCOOL DIY® QUICK CONNECT® line set for longer installations. Designed to combine two standard line sets, this kit allows you to increase the length of your refrigerant lines without the need for professional tools or installation.
Key Features:
- Coupler Extension for Line Sets: Seamlessly connect two MRCOOL DIY® QUICK CONNECT® line sets together to extend the total length, perfect for setups where one line set isn’t long enough.
- Compatible with Standard Line Sets: This kit works with MRCOOL line sets available in 25' and 50' lengths, allowing up to 3 line sets to be combined for a maximum of 75 feet per zone.
- 75' MC5 Pro Cable Included: The kit provides 75 feet of MC5 Pro Cable for a continuous, uninterrupted electrical connection between your indoor unit and the outdoor condenser, replacing the standard 25-foot cable.
Installation Instructions:
- Disconnect the Existing Cable: Remove the pre-attached 25-foot control wire or cable from your indoor unit.
- Install the 75' Pro Cable: Replace the shorter cable with the 75-foot Pro Cable provided, ensuring a reliable electrical connection for longer installations.
- Connect the Line Sets: Use the included DIYCOUPLER-14 and DIYCOUPLER-12 to join two line sets together, extending the overall length up to a maximum of 75 feet.
Important Considerations:
- Maximum Length: Keep in mind that MRCOOL multi-zone systems allow a total maximum line set length of 75 feet per zone.
- Handling Excess Cable: If there is any excess cable after installation, coil it carefully—do not cut the cable to maintain system integrity.
Compatibility:
- This kit is compatible with 9,000, 12,000, and 18,000 BTU indoor wall units, making it suitable for a variety of MRCOOL DIY installations.
