When installing a MRCOOL Mini Split System at a distance greater than the standard 25 feet, this 50' Line Set Extension Kit is exactly what you need for longer installations. This kit allows you to extend your system up to 75 feet, ensuring a secure and efficient setup. It includes a 50-foot pre-charged line set, couplers, and an extended control cable, making it easy to extend the distance between your air handler and condenser.

Key Features:

  • 50' Pre-Charged Line Set: Adds an additional 50 feet to your current setup, extending the standard 25-foot line to a total of 75 feet.
  • Couplers Included: Comes with DIYCOUPLER-38 and DIYCOUPLER-58 to connect the new 50-foot line set to the original 25-foot set for a seamless extension.
  • 75' MC5 Pro Cable: Provides a continuous power and control connection between the indoor and outdoor units, replacing the pre-installed 25-foot wire.

Installation Process:

  1. Remove the Pre-Attached Cable: Disconnect the existing 25-foot cable or wire from your indoor unit.
  2. Install the 75' MC5 Pro Cable: Replace the shorter cable with the extended 75-foot cable included in the kit for uninterrupted power and communication.
  3. Connect Line Sets: Use the provided couplers to join the 50-foot line set to the existing 25-foot set, extending the total length to 75 feet.

Important Considerations:

  • Maximum Length: Ensure the total line length from air handler to condenser does not exceed 75 feet per zone for optimal performance.
  • Handling Excess Cable: Coil any excess cable during installation—do not cut it—to maintain the integrity of the system.
