PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The RAD REH66 66" HVAC Equipment Hanger is a heavy-duty suspended equipment mounting system designed to support air handlers, furnace and coil combinations, and other compatible HVAC equipment weighing up to 400 lbs. Manufactured by RectorSeal, the REH66 provides an adjustable, professional alternative to fabricating an HVAC equipment support system on the job site.

Designed for both residential and commercial HVAC installations, the REH66 features an adjustable cross-support system that extends from 55" to 66", allowing the hanger to accommodate a range of equipment dimensions and installation requirements.

The system includes suspension hardware, pre-installed levels, anti-vibration foam, and dedicated drain pan hangers. The REH66 can support equipment up to a 5-ton air handler or furnace and coil combination, provided the installed equipment does not exceed the hanger's 400 lb weight rating.

Suspended HVAC Equipment Support

The RAD REH66 is designed to suspend compatible HVAC equipment from an appropriate overhead structure rather than supporting the equipment directly from an attic floor or platform.

This makes the hanger particularly useful for horizontal air handlers, attic HVAC systems, furnace and coil combinations, and other suspended HVAC installations where a secure equipment mounting system is required.

With a maximum working load of 400 lbs, the REH66 can support HVAC equipment up to a 5-ton air handler or furnace and coil combination, provided the total supported weight remains within the manufacturer's rated capacity.

Adjustable from 55" to 66"

The REH66 uses an adjustable cross-support design that can be extended from approximately 55" to 66". This allows installers to adapt the hanger to different HVAC equipment dimensions rather than fabricating a fixed support frame for every installation.

Once positioned for the equipment, the hanger provides a stable support structure for the HVAC cabinet while allowing a compatible secondary condensate drain pan to be installed beneath the equipment.

Built for Faster HVAC Installation

The RAD Equipment Hanger is designed around a simple installation concept:

Unfold. Lock. Hang.

The folding frame makes the hanger easier to transport and carry to the installation location. Once unfolded, a hinge pin secures and locks the hanger into position.

Pre-installed levels on each side help installers quickly verify that the equipment support is properly leveled without repeatedly placing and removing a separate level during installation.

Integrated Suspension System

The REH66 includes the components required for its cable-based suspension system, including #3 Gripple cables measuring 15 ft. long and 3/8" eye bolts at each corner.

This integrated suspension design reduces the amount of equipment-support hardware that must be sourced separately and helps create a cleaner, more consistent suspended HVAC installation.

Anti-Vibration Equipment Support

HVAC equipment can transfer compressor, blower, and motor vibration into its supporting structure. In suspended installations, that vibration can contribute to unwanted operational noise.

The RAD REH66 incorporates anti-vibration foam at the equipment support surfaces to help isolate the HVAC cabinet and reduce vibration transfer during normal equipment operation.

Secondary Condensate Drain Pan Support

The REH66 is designed to work with secondary HVAC condensate drain pans up to 34" wide.

Drain pan hangers are included with the REH66, allowing a compatible secondary condensate pan to be positioned beneath the supported HVAC equipment.

This creates an integrated equipment mounting and condensate-management installation where the HVAC equipment is supported by the primary hanger while the secondary drain pan is independently positioned beneath it.

The secondary condensate drain pan is sold separately unless specifically included as part of a bundle.

Pair with a 30" x 62" Secondary Drain Pan

For compatible installations, the REH66 can be paired with a large secondary condensate drain pan such as the RectorSeal Titan Flex 96240 30" x 62" Secondary Condensate Drain Pan.

The Titan Flex 96240 provides a corrosion-resistant polymer secondary drain pan beneath the suspended HVAC equipment, while the RAD REH66 provides the structural equipment support.

Together, these components can form the foundation of a more complete suspended air handler and condensate-management system.

Residential and Commercial HVAC Applications

RectorSeal specifies the RAD Equipment Hanger for both residential and commercial applications.

Common applications may include:

  • Horizontal air handler installations
  • Attic HVAC equipment
  • Suspended air handlers
  • Heat pump air handlers
  • Furnace and evaporator coil combinations
  • Residential HVAC installations
  • Light commercial HVAC installations
  • Equipment installed above finished living spaces
  • Installations requiring secondary condensate pan support
