Helpful buying information

Should I choose a single-zone or multi-zone system?

A single-zone system pairs one indoor unit with one outdoor unit. A compatible multi-zone system connects several indoor units to one outdoor condenser. Choose around your room layout and heating and cooling loads. Compare the two approaches.

How much heating and cooling capacity do I need?

Square footage is a starting point. Windows, insulation, ceiling height and climate can change the load. For multi-zone equipment, the sum of indoor-unit labels is not a substitute for the matched system’s approved capacity. Read sizing guidance.

What should I check for electrical requirements?

Verify the exact model’s voltage and manufacturer electrical requirements before ordering. Check your project’s electrical work and local requirements with a qualified electrician. Review the electrical planning guide.

Are line sets and installation components included?

Packages vary. Confirm the indoor and outdoor equipment, each line-set length, connecting cable and other listed components on the product page. Mounting accessories and site-specific electrical supplies may be separate. Find the matching installation manual.

Can I mix series or choose any line set?

Use approved indoor/outdoor combinations and line sets for the exact generation, refrigerant and connection type. A similar capacity or connector does not establish compatibility. Use the System Builder or ask for compatibility help.
