Cooling performance is excellent and it’s whisper quiet once running. The install wasn’t difficult, but the instructions could be clearer and the WiFi setup took a bit of trial and error. Once it was dialed in, though, it’s been rock solid. Would still buy again.

I’m a part-time HVAC tech and builder, and I’ve installed several mini split systems over the years. This 5-zone setup has been a great option for customers who want flexibility without running ductwork. Performance has been consistent and reliability has been solid so far.

Not impossible, but not a “Saturday in flip flops” job either. I did most of the install and had a buddy with HVAC tools help finish. Single-zone runs great and is crazy quiet.

Installed a 3-zone system to cover bedrooms and a living area. Being able to control each room separately is a game changer. One outdoor unit, three indoor heads, and no more fighting over the thermostat. Very efficient and quieter than expected.

First and foremost, this is not a do-it-yourself unit, unless you have HVAC equipment and watch plenty of YouTube videos. I thought it was the DIY unit when I purchased it so I had to learn how to install it. I am using it in my garage in the Chicago area and this 1.5 ton is a great performer. No need to run consistently but when heating or cooling is required it gets the job done. In the heating mode the outside unit is a little noisy but I hope to eliminate that when I insulate and drywall the garage, but the inside unit is super quiet. The wifi works as advertised and operates from my smart phone from anywhere. The wireless remote does not communicate over or with the wifi and takes a few extra button pushes to get it to respond. I purchased aftermarket air filtering sheets and I was shocked at how fast they got dirty. Worth the few extra pennys in my opinion. Overall, I absolutely love it.

I didn’t read the description closely and didn’t realize this was the non-DIY version with uncharged line sets. That part is on me. Once I understood that the condenser comes pre-charged and the indoor unit is nitrogen sealed, everything made sense. I picked up gauges and a vacuum pump and finished the install without issues. Unit works great.

I intentionally sized up one level and I’m glad I did. The unit doesn’t have to work hard and seems more efficient because of it. Install took longer than expected, mostly due to drilling and routing lines, but performance has been excellent.

The mini split itself is great, but the seller makes all the difference. MRCOOL DIY Direct helped me sort out mistakes made by another retailer who didn’t understand the product. Returned everything and reordered correctly. Wish I had done my homework sooner.

Put a 24k unit in my insulated garage. It cools it down fast and holds temperature easily, even during heat waves. Almost silent inside, and the outdoor unit isn’t obnoxious either. Wish I had done this years ago.
